Pretty modern interpretation, I have to say – maybe less than 100 years. The Pythagorean pentagram, one of the oldest examples of the symbol, was “two-horned”, and it was just used as a mathematical proof.

It’s kind of neither? it’s a pentacle turned upside but its NOT a baphomet. Because of how the star was drawn it’s clearly not meant for satanism (i’m a follower of anton le vay). Its really just a pentacle deliberately turned upside down but it’s still technically MEANT to be a pentacle. Which is a sign of human protection where the star is the human and circle is protection of it.
 
I get they are going for the satanic variant, but the star is just designed wrong and instead just looks like a lopsided pentacle.

That looks like something you might see on a death metal/music album.
 
As long as they do no harm, I support their right to choose. The same goes for ANY religion D:
