orange lanterns always made me sad, since the greediest (and therefore most powerful) just killed all the others and took their rings for himself. you can’t take someone’s ring for yourself though, so he was just given plothole powers to do that.
 
would have been a lovely contradiction for the force of greed to manifest itself in a way that can only be shared.
