Description
“Back in the Season premiere, Starlight Glimmer expressed doubt and insecurity over her Heel–Face Turn, and Twilight easily forgiving her. Twilight quickly dismissed her concerns and made for a heartwarming scene. Now its not so heartwarming anymore as it appears in this episode, it turns out Twilight Sparkle does have her doubts about Starlight when she befriends another former bad guy.”

Except for the “totally redeemed” part.
Rereading these comments, they’re actually a bit prophetic of what probably would have happened if Starlight hadn’t helps out with the act.
Well, I wouldn’t want to have her standing near the edge of a cliff, or there being the silhouette of a noose or anything like that. Just two scenes.
One in the way of Starlight begging Trixie to stay in Ponyville and Trixie looking sad, head bowed and saying something along the lines of “I’m done. I’m going now and I don’t expect I will return. (Hugs Starlight) “Thanks for trying to save me” then she leaves.
Then a second scene with the Mane Six desperately searching for her to no avail and Twilight freaking out, then Starlight offering the advice that perhaps they respect Trixie’s wishes and just let it go.
Then perhaps after the Mane 6 have left a final shot of Trixie standing on a moonlit hilltop before she turns away and disappears.
He said disappear, not commit suicide.
That can’t happen. Suicide, even implied one would be too extreme for a kid’s show.
Starlight would even make the case that they forgave her despite her crimes were much more severe. But then Twilight accidentally let’s it slip that unlike Starlight she considers Trixie a weak loser and therefore not worth their time.
In the end Trixie is too damaged by everything that has happened and how ponies see her and decides to do the world a favor and disappear forever. The Mane 6 realize the error of their ways and try to find her to make it up to her. But Trixie would be gone for good.
The message of the episode: The more you treat someone like trash the more likely they are to believe it and sometimes there are no fixing your mistakes.
Sunset’s stuck in EQG pal. IP stuff and all.
Yeah, it was more of a “Thanks for not holding me accountable for my actions bye” apology than anything.
And, I’m guessing Trixie over Sunset, simply because the logistics of bringing her back from the human world would be too complicated for 30 minutes, and if/when it happened it would concern Celestia/Twilight, not Twilight/Starlight.
the pony actually is SUNSET SHIMMER. but why Twilight prevents friendship? because she’s scared. the power of Starlight and Sunset combined could rival any single alicorn.
and worse yet, Starlight and Sunset are very good at manipulating the masses so they, if they were so inclined, could start an actual revolution that would turn Equestria on its head.
a former top-of-the-class, super-elite protege of Celestia and a powerful self-taught magical prodigy is a combo you don’t just ignore.
Because that’s way too minor, and we as an audience would have no reason not to take Twilight’s side, because she hasn’t made up for her antagonism.
I don’t think they’ll waste one episode on Sunset Shimmer. That would be a complete waste.
My money’s on Sunset Shimmer.
Although no one will know for sure until more hints are dropped for us…
Yeah. You can tell I’m a cynic when even I didn’t think of that.
That’s certainly an optimistic forecast.
Then it turns out they got her a gift for rescuing both of them from their darkest moments.
