Wrong. it was wrong. And stupid. They hurt Rainbow. And use Scoodaloo against her. And zero all. When the truth comes out, Zero believe them. Lying so much can lead to people refusing to believe them when they tell the truth. Aesop wrote so on The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

What people remember most about the episode is the ending - which retroactively paints the entirety of Mane 6 as horrible, horrible, horrible people, and the friendship that supposedly ties them together as dysfunctional at best and abusive at worst - but the short answer to the question of what was wrong with the episode as a whole is: everything. Everything. From animation to world-building to dialogue to character interaction to what could be laughably referred to as plot to even treating its audience as somewhat intelligent human beings to teaching horrible lessons, there isn’t one thing this episode does right.
It’s truly an achievement in children’s entertainment.
Not deluded, I just paid more atention to the episode.
At no point it is said the others were trying to teach her any lesson or humilliate her, people just assume the worst, but it’s easy to put two and two toguether if you watch the episode following them instead of Dash.
Yeah I worded that part wrong(my bad), still my point about it not being as bad as it’s detractors make it out to be.
Wow, that’s a new one.
And the most deluded yet.
Why do people keep repeating this? That is not what happened. None of them noticed Rainbow Dash was around while saving ponies in disguise, it was not meant to teach Rainbow Dash anything, it was to avoid becoming famous like her, because they saw what it did to her. Mayor Mare came with the name “Mare Do Well” and it escalated from there, but all the heroic deeds they did were genuine and necessary (including Fluttershy’s, as she later says she was taking care of everybody’s safety).

I dunno where you got “fandom-hater” and “troll” thing; are you implying I am a self-hater or something? I actually recommend you to read one of those fanfics; idiot balls are ten times worse than in any episode. I can write wall of text, listing fanfics and describing what’s wrong with each of them, but I won’t. Of course, there are fics that handled issue better, but it’s a subplot rather than premise, so it doesn’t count.

Well it’s not just that the mane6’s behavior is kinda hurtful and thoughtless, though I think most people dislike it because of that the most (kinda like in Too Many PPs and What About Discord).
But because it’s simply badly written, like it was made for a different show and then adapted for MLP.
It’s the plot hanging entirely on newly introduced never before seen & barely fitting story elements, unlikely coincidences and borderline OOC character behavior that often characterizes Merriwether’s writing.
..well this is all old news anyway, hardly worth bringing up. (Merriwether has since outdone it with Spike AYS.)

Don’t mind them, they live in their own constructed world. World of headcanons and fixfics. Well, I can’t blame quiet half of them, I had same irk about Ponyville Confidencial. Loud delusional half, however…
P.S. I won’t recommend reading TMMDW fixfics. Sheer amount of facepalms would leave your face permanently red.
