she was programmed with all of sweetie’s memories, so she’d know what it means when her cutie mark never transferred over.

I wonder how long she’d have waited, if Rarity had never returned (if something had killed her, again, for example)
It’s a potential backstory for some ancient immortal, if you want to give them a very single-minded focus towards a specific subject.
