because the artist put a lot of work in it? let’s say the artist put two hours of work in it. then they got 7.5 dollars per hour. which is really not a lot considering art is a luxury and should be paid as such

If you’re an artist that has apparently had numerous “upvotes galore”, why are you posting anonymously and bragging about yourself?

Yes, coloring isn’t HARD, but it’s not just “bucket tool”. You can only do decent bucket-tool coloring if you have absolutely flawless and super-clean line art.

yea I know nothing about art, it’s not like I’m an artist myself. and before you say “your art is probably bad” I’ve had a few upvotes galore and even wall of faves on here. it is as simple as that

It’s still relatively simple, even non-artistic idiot like me can do it (If colors are known. If not, I can turn it into acid mess :P). But ‘simple’ don’t mean it’s not tedious or time-consuming. I guess in this particular case, time=money.

I never fully understood why people charge for flat colors. I mean anyone can take lineart and fill it with the bucket tool. but to the artist: don’t charge peanuts for you art, you should charge more
