It’s got a bunch of white-knighting in it involving defending her from bullying, which I’d like to avoid because, much like stories ending with “it was all a dream”, it’s so hokey and overdone for Derpy-romance stories. Like, half of them involve some sort of physical or emotional pain being the catalyst for a romance with her (physical usually being her crashing into the person/stallion set to be in the relationship with her).
 
… This is hard to consider; I definitely like a sensual and well-defined romance, but I may have to go straight into the bedroom with this particular idea; seems like the idea wouldn’t survive long if I try going for the “lead-up”-route, not to mention that this IS meant to be a Hearts & Hooves Day-based image, so I should make the most of that.
