Description

Churned this out while thinking about and doodling poses for the next part of that 11 part commish.
I am NOT a biologist. In fact, I never took bio in high school. This is meant more as a general idea of how he works. The exact details are whatever.

This bug technically doesn’t have a name, but in my circle I just call him Waspy so, hello OC tag.
I made some modifications to his overall anatomy, so I’m going to have to update my avatar lol.

Waspy is related to changelings however lacks the ability to disguise or alter his exterior body. instead however, he is capable of closely controlling his organs and even altering the chemical composure of enzymes and secretions at will. His venom can do whatever he needs it to do. Normally though, he uses it as a painkiller or muscle relaxant. He likes his prey conscious.

You can call it male, as it’s your creation, but I’m just going by the biological definition of female. Doesn’t really matter, as you could have easily just said the wasp is trans and been completely in the right, ending it right then and there. It’s just weird that you’re trying to argue against its physical sex. It just feels like having a square and then calling it a triangle, even though it’s obviously a square.

But eh, I’ll just leave it at this. You’re right that it hardly matters. The sex of the creature is hardly the only biologically impossibility, after all. My suspension of disbelief picks strange things to tune in and out of…

Wasp dissolves victims for use as genetic material and what can’t be used becomes basically lube or egg materials. No sex required.

If you really want to insist on it, I guess technically wasp is female as it creates eggs, but seeing as its reproductive biology is relatively alien, taking a more scrapyard junkie approach to making babies, who gives a shit. It’s whatever you want to call it.

Changelings are kind of related to ponies and may or may not have skeletons, and this big idiot is related to changelings, so I decided to give him both.

In the muscle chart I forgot to take into account the holes in the legs but you can probably use your imagination. The muscles likely just wrap around past the holes. Wasp’s chitin isn’t completely rigid all over his body.

Additionally, he’s a bit larger than the average pony, so an internal skeleton would help his body stay together. Chitin is more effective for tightly compacted or small organisms, and waspy is neither of those things.
