Because there’s no recent photo of him (or either of his two eye variations) here yet, amongst the mane six ones from last month. Though he only came out within the last couple of weeks or so after little to no news (from what I searched) for a little over a year.
 
I thought the white reflections on the cutie marks looked funny, but upon closer inspection the cutie marks them-selves were applied upside-down (hint: the sand in the hourglasses).
 
Looks noticeably different from the prototypes at >>622708 and on most stock images floating around prior to release; legs are a bit longer to make him taller and fabric color of the coat seems a bit different.
 
Some time after I originally posted this, 4de floated him on their site for preorder here if you’re interested, although I received mine from Entertainment Earth who apparently got theirs out faster.
