@Background Pony #7CB7: Most “Mary Sue” traits are pretty much basic character traits anyways. The best definition one can come up with in giving one to the “Mary Sue” term is a “badly-written character.” But even then, there’s not much consensus to what characters are objectively badly written.
Besides, I think it’s safer to assume that “Mary Sue” means “a character I don’t like” nowadays, anyways.
a common thing among the fandom. not even the whole nyx thing the alicorn oc thing. the fandom is over flowing with Pegasus and unicorn ocs and they couple up like crazy. you can even see the others types of species of mlp.
alicorn oc have it just as bad as earth pony oc, there’s not enough of them, calling it a Mary sue / Gary stu for being all the ponies in one is bad observation. even when the artist or writer tries their best to make it a fleshed out character. we dont need fans dictating what you can and cannot do, and having an alicorn oc doesn’t make a person looking for attention or having an ego ( its all in good fun) heh, what i find amusing is most unicorn and Pegasus oc has traits that fit the Mary sue and gray stu thing.
