I remember. I saw that episode the day it came out, I figured Applejack didn’t want to cry on the outside for Tank, or that she understood the difference between hibernating and dead.
I was just taking stuff too literally again. If a meme gets repeated often enough, it has a tendency to become canon in a lot of peoples minds :P.

Yes I know I’m saying she doesn’t actually do that though it was just a silly one off gag we see her cry both when happy and sad.

This is a quote directly from her, remember? In Tanks for the Memories, when Twilight asks Applejack why she isn’t crying over Tank, someone else (can’t remember who) says “Applejack cries on the inside”, to which AJ agrees.

How does that make her a wimp? Seems like the exact opposite to me. A wimp is someone who pretends not to feel anything at all. Even the toughest people in the world have feelings, whether they show it or not.
