yeah, everyone was complaining about only their stupid petty head canon, and not that  
  • she was canonically out of character b/c cursed artifact  
  • trixie wasn’t using tricks  
  • she was almost redeemed at the speed of sunset shimmer  
  • the protagonists were unusually cruel i.e. ignoring her broken wagon  
  • her wagon wasn’t broken  
  • huge leadup with that curio shop, same old setting  
  • twilight’s amazing new trick is to levitate things  
  • shade of brown only used for accents not used for accents  
  • on-camera wilhelm scream  
  • twilight isn’t a high level unicorn?  
  • “that was supposed to make you writhe in agony!” but trixie only tickled ponies when she had the amulet

Sorry to be the wet blanket here, but wasn’t there a whole lot of complaining the last time Trixie came back? I seem to remember a lot of people were upset with how she was used in Magic Duel and a lot of that boiled down to it not matching up with two years worth of head-canons, fan fictions, and personal expectations. All of that tends to happen with every episode anyway, but a much more so in Trixie’s case, though the general pessimism that surrounded Season 3 didn’t help.
 
I believe it’s completely possible for her to come back and have a good episode worthy of praise and rewatch, but even then it will likely still disappoint those who wanted her to come back the most.
 
To top all of this off, it may be too late for her to be included in Season 6. I don’t know how far into production they are, but I do know they’ve at least started story boards and may actually be finished, the later implying that all of the scripts have already been finalized, and if Trixie isn’t in them already, then she’s not going to get put into any of them. If that’s true, you had better hope there’s going to be a Season 7, or you’re out of luck.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

You know, the idea of “Season 6” makes me realize that FiM is approaching an end.  
And I’m not sure if I’m ready to say goodbye to it, and the people I’ve met in the fandom.
