nah man.. you haven’t been following what I was saying? It’s Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Just moments ago, I finished the last and final playthrough, got the last ending.. :p
now it’s time for boss rush and to close the book, maybe re-open it when I want a playthrough, because god damn, I like this game.. and it’s cool everything is tied to saves, so if I want to replay any ending I got, I can just load it.
Here’s some thoughts about updates brought into classic games.
I want the experience of the classic if that’s what it is going for, but I do think some updates are welcome, just like with Shovel Knight for example.
For example, If the game’s Game Over flat out Reset the entire progress of my playthrough in this game, that would’ve been unacceptable, I don’t have the patience to run through the levels I already excel at, that thing is just a time sink from a bygone era, it was the idea of the quarter sucker. If the game is the classic type, having the cons like that removed only increases my enjoyment, not to be mistaken with design choices of movement and jumping.
Plus, it’s not like the game’s that easy either, playing as Zangetsu is damn hard, as you get sent WAY FAR BACK… NES style.. Previously, if you had companions, you had to lose them all to lose a life and only losing a life sent you far back, to the last big checkpoint, I guess I could call it, where as any single companion lost sent you to one of many small checkpoints between the big ones.
I dunno what to say about that, it makes sense, but it is pretty harsh at times. Still, having made through it, I don’t think it was that bad and the game does give you some much needed assistance after making through it, like 1ups that show up everytime you die, a very kind gesture.

Is Interplay actually still around, or did they go bankrupt years ago?
Background Pony #04DA Fuck it, I’m gonna go back and fight Smelter Demon. I know I don’t have to, but I wanna beat him before I beat the game.

According to Wiki, it did in the early 2000’s.

After beating Smelter, pop the bonfire after his boss room and go back to said boss room for a treat.

Biggest kick in the balls is that EA got off relatively scot free over this fiasco. Sure they’re still fighting tooth and nail to keep their FIFA loot boxes, but removing the Battlefront 2 loot boxes was just enough to keep them fairly in the clear.

So I got Sonic Mania Plus. It’s fun. I completely suck at it, but it’s fun.

I have a feeling that, in due time, their EA Sports games will on the chopping block. It’s only a matter of time.

Background Pony #04DA Having to fight the enemies in front of the boss gates until they despawn gets real tedious, real fast.

Yep. They’re suppose to be the final bosses, but you can beat them early for a great medium shield.
Background Pony #04DA I must be pretty close to the end of the game.

Not as close as you hope. Also, once you beat the duo, look up their souls (to learn how to get the Defender’s Shield) and all the doors that required the King’s Ring to open.
