Also, an Adventure remaster should make Gamma’s Hot Shelter level a bit more manageable. I almost always run out of time either right before the Zeta fight or during the Zeta fight because of how long the level is.

Was Sonic 4 really THAT bad? Yeah, the physics in Episode I were a bit wonky, but I still enjoyed it. I never played Episode II, though I do hear that they fixed the physics issues there.

The only negativity I have heard about Sonic 4 was that absurd drama about Sonic’s eyes being green, other than that it was praised enough to be a really good game. Hell, IGN gave the game 8/10, and the Wii version has excellent reception.
 
I blame the fans for throwing shit at the game, because that causes bad drama, making other players to lose interest in trying the game and blindly joining the “throw-shit-fest” without playing it.

Of course not. I enjoyed episode 1 when I first bought it and I thought episode 2 was fine as well.
 
But now that Sonic Mania is a thing, Sonic 4 is now just seen as a punchline along with every other Sonic game between Sonic & Knuckles’ and Sonic Mania’s releases.

Yeah, I was really pissed at all those “Mania is the first good Sonic game in 24 years” BS comments and reviews…
 
Not helped by the fact that the animated Mania trailer took a jab at 4 as well (and Whitehead himself took jabs at it several times when promoting the game).

Maybe it’s just me but it kinda felt like when Sonic Colours came out that was the first good Sonic game and then Generations came out and then that was the first good Sonic game

Fun fact: in IGN’s video review for the HD version of Unleashed, they not only deliberately SLOWED DOWN during a 2D section, but JUMPED OVER a dash panel ramp and fell to their death, and then blamed the game for it.

Are you fucking serious about that last part? Wow, now I really want some respect for the other Sonic games before I say any praise about Sonic Mania. In fact, I do hope we get a Sonic Forces level for Smash Ultimate. Everyone will be pissed but I’ll be the only one happy.

Can we stop saying ‘turning’? Even if I’m the only person that dislikes those games, it isn’t because of some vendetta or anything, I just don’t find Colors or Generations fun. I didn’t in 2010/2011, I don’t in 2018.
 
Also Mania has a lot of problems that I feel Sonic 3 suffers from so it’s not even close to my top ten of the past 24 years (god that’s my whole life)

When did Mania & Whitehead take jabs at Sonic 4:Ep.1?
 
I have that on my phone, (yes, officially/legally, it’s only like $3) but to be honest I can understand some complaints about the physics. The final boss was also a bit too difficult. The level design for later levels could’ve been better too. It had some nice things though, but it could’ve been better.
 
The game gave developer DIMPS a bad reputation, which is a bit ironic, because their Sonic Advance trilogy, and Sonic Rush games were good.

With both Green Hill, and Windy Hill returning in SSBU, I doubt there’ll be any new Sonic levels. Sense Jun Senoue is working on music for “SSB Ultimate,” I hope he gives us some new remixes.

In one of the early animated Mania trailers there’s an elevator with 1, 2, 3, and K buttons (representing the Genesis games), but no 4. And in an interview about the game Whitehead said something about how they weren’t just going to do “a measly 4 Zones” or something along those lines.

Granted, 4 is probably considered more of the “modern” games, then the “old/classic” ones, so I can understand why they excluded it, as Mania is more in line with the Genesis games. They also didn’t include CD, which is Whitehead’s favorite game.
 
Y’know, in a Nintendo Power interview Yuji Naka said he considered calling Sonic Advance “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” originally.

So, in Twitter some pics from the movie were released, and shows a man with a green suit driving a car.
