Ah, so you’re guessing that other people will start using these, and are trying to get ahead of them? I have my doubts that speculative tag aliasing is appropriate.
Plus, all four tags that begin with “crotchboob” would have about the same discoverability (as far as autocomplete is concerned) and none of those were at either link.

It’s an assistive measure for people coming from other sites like FA, e6 and rule34 that might’ve come across a related image. The other thing is it helps to get those both not familiar with this site’s extensive tags and allows for those to be able to search for any of the above and get the results they’re looking for.
The crotchboob ones were specifically made due to this site’s exclusive use of “crotchboob” (and the potential “pun” variant or related spelling). No other sites use that term AFAIK. There’s no auto-complete for searching. Unless I’m missing something that exists without my knowledge.

It was implemented pretty recently, a little over a month ago. The setting is under the Local tab. It might be off by default?
Anyway, because there are nearly infinite ways that people might spell or misspell, punctuate, or phrase a concept, I figure most people will find out about tags by seeing them already present on an image, or if they’re tech-savvier, by using wildcards and other syntax, rather than by cold-guessing for an exact tag.

Oh shit, that’s DEFINITELY new. Been hoping that’d be a thing at some point. I feel only a little silly now for the further tags but this’ll at least assist the other boorus downstream from here that utilize some alias imports. (pony, twi and poner)
