Four Tet
[SCENE 01 - AN UNWELCOMED BLOOM]
Time: 2:05 a.m., EqST
Location: Fluttershy’s Cottage, edge of the Everfree Forest
Player: Fluttershy
Silence, the company of all things dark and lunar. Nightfall has greeted the kingdom of Equestria with the same subtle rising of the moon every time the hour had passed. As sure as Celestia raises the sun, Luna would raise the moon for her adoring subjects before she waved them a fond, fair ‘good night’, disappearing into the walls of their castle to prepare for the dream dive. Unless you were the type to be fortunate enough to step outside your home and ‘rock the house in’ at the start of a weekend, you would either be working or sleeping. In case of one shy, quite, yellow pegasus, this was neither the case. The slender mare sat up in her bed, her strawberry blond locks messily laid over her eyes, hiding them from the fact they weighed heavy with a sense of denial that screamed at her to go back to sleep. Her body, however, was forcing her up from her moment of peace…
“Not again…not now.” she muttered softly, the whispers of her soft voice sneaking away into the night. “Why does this have to be now?” She was referring to her body’s demands for the lack of attention she was giving it, the warm, tingling, almost irritating vibe flowing through her veins. It too was whispering in the dark, but only she could hear it for herself; ‘get up, Fluttershy’, ‘you know what you have to do, Fluttershy’, ‘you can only resist for so long, Fluttershy’, and other such tripe that would be put to bed with a either a cold shower or a warm, deep bath. It was normal for her to get those feelings at her age, being the fully grown mare of today who was virtually running her own zoo. It was only a matter of time before even the most innocent mare in the kingdom would have to indulge in such sin. Sadly, you can’t use the same charm on stallions the same way you would do for a pet.
Adding onto the dilemma, she volunteered to watch over the Cutie Mark Crusaders for the weekend, all of them sleep soundly in her own bed and snuggled up to the mare under her wings. Under normal circumstances, the feeling was welcoming - three young fillies cuddled around her like a adoring mother. It helped them both feel secure with each other, no matter what weather the night brought upon them. This time, it was the opposite effect - trapping her down and wishing to escape without needing to explain herself to anyone.
A hard price to bargain for, a high price to pay. What is a mare to do?
