Drowned World. [IC}

The sun and the moon went out of control, causing a global flooding, leaving only scarce few places above the water, canterlot being one of them, the princesses now Mount up all their power to Keep the City that has become the last save haven intact, though both inside and outside Problems soon began to rise. only four ships remain and only one is a Military vessel under command of the Crystal royalty.
 
the Problems would only aggravate though as the first of many foes had set their sights on the City.

The Northern Queen as she is restocked with food, medical supplies and the ammunition needed for self defense. Grand Cog is overlooking a map of old Equestria before the flooding thinking of where to go in the near future.

“sonar is picking up a lot of signals, judging by the noise i´m getting a few big ones and a whole Piranha swarm of smaller boats.”

Mythos was already at the docks, since his friend had sense something was wrong. The stallion had for quite some time wondered how things would be different if the flood had never happened, yet Stardream had no answer to give on such nor the question of what the future would bring. When the danger was clear, the unicorn was quick to seek out the pegasus who had left from his sight.
 
Stardream for her part was grateful for the companionship, especially with the death of her mentor and employer Star Gazer. There was so much confusion from the stars, as if the Flood was never supposed to happen and leaving their voices muted as if by the water. They had made their way to Canterlot, being the only high ground city in Equestria apart from perhaps Cloudsdale.
 
Today though, there was danger to be found and once they got to the pier it became clear what the problem was. Raiders, they would be needed on the ship as it would seem others were preparing for a fight as well. It would seem even Crystal royalty would be a part of this.

He puts the map away and looks out towards the sea.

dock beggar: “four ships… against a small Armada… guess the times when canterlot was save are over.”

the Crew makes their preparations, the raider ships came into view, a somewhat dilapidated destroyer and a few overloaded freighters anchored a good distance from the City as the smaller ships, led by what used to be patrolboats continued their advance.

Cog: Alright men, aim for the raiders! Those boats might be of use to us.
 
He grabs his own gun and takes aim with the crew.

(Sighs, I guess having Mythos and Stardream be members of Northern Queen will have to work.)  
Mythos would look to Cog and ask, “Where do you want us Captain.” The unicorn would point a brace of pistols with his magic towards the raiders, a smile playing on his face as he considered what needed to be down and the thrilling danger this attack brought.
 
Stardream for her part would lookm to the Cog as well, who knew about her gift though only partly. Her greatest use was at night but even during the day she could offer advise and guidance to the captain and crew. She was still uncertain at times, not as assured in her role as Mythos was.

Cog: Get the men in the engine room working double time, the Sea Saber can’t survive on her own and we’re sitting ducks unless we get moving.

Mythos would do so, taking some ponies down to the engine room with while Stardream would walk up to the captain and say, “Captain… Sir, I worry for the port side. Perhaps extra attention can be placed there?”

Cog: Sadly we don’t have the man power to dedicate to watching every angle, I’ll tell the men to keep their eyes peeled however.
 
The engine room is loud as ever with the men down their trying to get the ship’s old engine to turn on.

the raiders never halted in their Approach, opening their Formation as large quad guns on the patrolboats opened up.

Mythos would give a call the ponies within the engine room, “Come on! Work those engines and get this ship moving. This is for Canterlot, this is to protect all those you care about!” The stallion would wait for a moment to make certain that the engines would turn on while having his guns on ready when time to head back up even using his magic to try and help give the extra push.
 
The blue pegasus for her part was working hard as well, helping other crew and offering soft words of encouragement as she helped to make sure everything was in place. Since the Captain said there was no men to spare in watching the port side Stardream would do so herself, even flying up a bit to get a better looking at the approaching raider ships.

Soon the ship started to move, the crew began to open fire on the raiders as they got closer to them.

“captain, four ships are attacking, three of them seem pretty strong.”
 
Captain: “sink that cargo bathtub and call in our balloons, i want markers in that City before i open fire. arm our Torpedo launches and aim for the Crystal queen.”

Few raider boats were left as the Northern Queen moves behind the smaller boats as the 40mm open fire on the destroyer.

Captain: “picking a fight, eh? return Fire!”
 
an old fashioned Missile Launch bank took aim and let its´deadly payload fly.
 
a sonar crewman yelled to Grand cog.
 
“more incoming! and the crow spotted mini airships.”
