It is similar because you implied that there isn’t anyone else and therefore everyone hates it, criticism or otherwise.

But if you didn’t, why say that “it was never everyone” when you said something else before?

It’s apparent that Dash suffered from extreme separation anxiety. To be separated from her turtle felt like death to her. If this theme had been properly explored, then maybe I would have felt more sad than angry. Of course, that wouldn’t excuse Dash in any way; it would simply suggest that her intentions are better than some of her actions. (Still, it would have been nice if the episode had ended with someone arresting Dash, with her embarrassed in front of her friends.)

One saving grace is a much later episode – where Daring Do learns that she needs to clean up after her collateral damage – even if it wasn’t her fault. This suggests that Dash eventually recognized she was a terrible friend for her own reckless misconduct.

That having been said, what truly won my affection for Dash was her friendship with Quibble Pants. She did what she could to make a weak earth pony feel awesome. By Season 9, Rainbow Dash clearly has a big heart for those who are much weaker than her. Some of Fluttershy’s kindness has made its way into her, just as some of her bravery has rubbed off onto Fluttershy.

People hating on Celestia in the year 2022 really need to go out and touch grass

Seriously, can these people like NOT make these comparisons? They’re entirely different properties.

Indeed. And there are also good videos about Celestia that analyze her reasonably. Too bad the haters would then have to invest time to A.) watch them and B.) spend brain energy to process the content presented in them.

And as we all know, haters always like to make things easy for themselves and are hard to convince. Because hate rarely has anything to do with logic. (shoulder shrug) ;-)

Some of the stories in MLP hit really close to home on that point.

If you have more negative things to say about MLP than positive, can you really call yourself a fan?

Never got the hate for Celestia and it just seemed that people were going off memes; most criticisms of her (ex: not stopping threat “x”) is more of a problem of the show in general than anything.

Pretty much every problem that has happened in the show can be pinpointed to poor writing decisions, which includes inconsistent characterizations

It absolutely amazes me that three(?) years after Equestria Girls supposedly ended, you still have those clamoring for it to come back and for a third season to be produced even though all of the staff at this point have likely moved on to other projects.

I still can’t get over the fact that the main reason the guy responsible for the whole “save EQG” thing wants the show back is because he admitted to wanting more foot fetish/foot focused scenes in the series.

He doesnt want the show back for any story reason or to tied up loose ends, he wants it for literal fetish fuel
