What do you mean intend to? They definitely knew what they were doing, they even gave a warning that there were spoilers in their post. If they watch the trailer beforehand, they would have known that the content in the book had some pretty big spoilers in it.  
But hey, what that person did wasn’t the end of the world,but it did make them seem like a spoilsport though.

I also like this comic because it sorta answers why Celestia is impotent everytime something serious happens.

Well, it’s a good thing I saved it, then. Cos that way I can look back at it should I need a little refresher before the movie comes out.

I’ve been thinking all day about why the Star Wars Sequel comparison isn’t a good one.
 
Firstly, there’s a big difference between “a generation later”, and “possibly hundreds of years later”.
 
Second, the Sequel Trilogy has a lot of problems, but it’s not bad on a conceptual level. If anything, the ending of Return of the Jedi is somewhat naïve. A galaxy-spanning government that potentially employs millions of people is not going to disappear just because Palpatine died. The fallout from The Empire splintering is a completely legitimate and organic way to continue the story.
 
If “Han, Luke and Lea didn’t actually save the galaxy forever” was as bad of an idea as detractors say it was, then The Force Awakens wouldn’t be Disney’s second-highest Box Office of all time. No one would be complaining about The Last Jedi or The Rise of Skywalker if The Force Awakens hadn’t gotten them invested in the first place.
 
The Sequel Trilogy isn’t bad because “muh ruined legacy”. It’s bad because there was no clear plan or vision.
 
Lastly, comparing a finished trilogy to a movie that hasn’t even come out yet is just plain stupid.

I thought the new MLP movie was more like Star Trek the Next Generation.

That Celestia and Spike comic,volume 2, 6 , 7, 21, 29. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. There not perfect, but they do have dynamics we’ve never seen explored more from the show.

If the new MLP was like the Star Wars Sequel trilogy,most of the new cast will be sidelined in the following series/movies,some character from FiM will be controversially handled,and the ending will be rushed and kinda silly.

Not when it was literally established in the first episode that the most powerful characters live thousands of years. It is only reasonable to assume Twilight would’ve done the same. There’s no difference.

They may have never actually said that Twilight will live for thousands of years, but the people who assumed it have logic on their side, with all the evidence on the show. Naturally, someone that’s at least nearly immortal like Celestia would not give her whole kingdom to somepony that will die within 80 years or so. It makes no logical sense. Twilight has to live for thousands of years.

if celestia’s and luna’s win-to-loss ratio is anything to go by, that means shit. Not to mention. by sheer law of averages, that means more villains that are up to bat and eventually one of them is going to hit a home run.

Well, the Star Wars Sequels were a new generation too, so the comparison is 100% apt. We’ve seen more creatures with extended lifespans in MLP than in Star Wars, so a few hundred years for MLP should logically be about the same as 20 or 30 years for Star Wars.

I don’t understand what you mean. If they were worried a villain was going to be successful, then having more Princesses would be ideal. The idea of them retiring loses all meaning with what this film seems to imply.
 
It would have to be millions of years into the future to make sense, but all the artifacts of G4 and the stories from them would not logically have survived that long.

But with characters living thousands of years, it’s not that different. The characters in G5 could easily have been Twilight’s children. The difference is that in Star Wars, we mostly follow the humans that have normal (or possibly unrealistically short) lifespans, whereas in MLP, the characters we follow are the ones who’s lives would logically be longer Celestia, Luna, Twilight, Flurry Heart, Cadence, Spike, Discord, Princess Ember, Smolder, Autumn Blaze, and that’s not even to say anything about how likely it is for the rest of the Mane Six or Starlight to have something happen that extends their lifespans too.
 
We know Starlight is one of the most powerful unicorns in Equestria, anything could’ve happened to make her live long, Pinkie Pie was able to use Discord’s powers when she got them, despite nobody else besides him having been shown to know how, additionally, Fluttershy and Discord are very intentionally ship baited, so it might make logical sense that she’d live longer to be with him and all the rest of the Mane Six are just as likely to get some kind of extended life in this way.
 
But even outside of those maybe characters, we know this is the case for the others I mentioned. It makes no sense for them to have been completely wiped out before this movie.

What if Twilight is alive,but sealed away somewhere.some new villain did it and convinced the various creatures that each other did it,and that caused the segregation.

How many creatures would logically have to die in war and genocide in order for the world to become so quickly segregated, though? The creatures we all saw together in Seasons 8 and 9 would not leave so easily and in this even the different pony types are split. It gives G4 such an unnecessary dark ending. 😞
