Idea with downvoting.

When you downvote a picture, it should automatically hide that picture and that picture alone. I suggest this because sometimes there are some pictures I can’t really blacklist because I like some of the other things within that tag, I just don’t like THAT picture in particular.

Impractical, many people downvote image but still want to see the comments on them, which they can’t do easily if it’s hidden. Hiding individual images separately requires a level of filtering our current hardware cannot support.

Make it an optional feature in settings? “Hide downvoted images”

I think he means that we do not have the physical capacity to support filtering of that type. And it’s not like we can get ads easily, either.

Even if it was optional many would still use it, and that level of fine filtering being tracked for the thousands that would use it is too much for the servers DB has now.
