Between this and the angle after the match, this has to be one of the most depressing endings to a Pay Per View I’ve ever seen. It may be THE most depressing.

Some thoughts

I thought it was really cool Motor City Machine Guns won the SmackDown tag titles. Surprised they put it on them this soon.

Jey and Jimmy hugging was probably the best wrestling moment this week.

Crown Jewel is looking like one of the best cards of the year.

I like AEW is trying out new storylines. I think we should give it time to see how it plays out before we judge. Also, Shelton has looked incredible the last couple weeks.

Some of the Jericho hatred has really been overblown. I don’t agree with putting a belt on him either, but again, wait and see how it plays out.

I saw Bound For Glory this past Saturday. I thought it was a very good show. Mike Bailey Vs Vikingo was match of the night, and I thought the women’s title match was fantastic as well. A lot of people are giving TNA flack for not putting the belt on Joe Hendry but personally, I’m fine with it so long as the long-term story is still to put the belt on him. I don’t necessarily think they have to put the belt on him right away, especially if there’s a story being told between Nick Nemeth and JBL. I just hope the story doesn’t involve putting the belt on JBL.

Also, I hope Chris Bey is okay. He apparently suffered a serious neck injury last night.

It seems Triple H is back on his kick of let’s expand WWE to even more areas of the wrestling industry because they announced the creation of WWE ID a new program to help out indy wrestlers and schools.

RVD made his NXT appearance

Really cool to see Private Party win the tag titles last night. Probably the best Young Bucks match since against Sting and Darby Allin.

Also cool to see Lashley debut for AEW. I really hope he gets used better there than he had been in his last year or so in WWE.

Fun Fact: Dynamite hasn’t reached anywhere near the Ratings since the CM Punk Backstage Footage was shown back in April, one of the most damaging Things that Tony Khan/AEW has ever done. :o

The Indi Hartwell release is interesting timing because SmackDown was taped and she was on tonight’s show in a match.

I was there when Baron Corbin retired Kurt Angle. I always felt he was better than people gave him credit for.
