Why

So there was a Gamespot interview with Tetsuya Nomura where he talked about why KH3 is taking so long.
 
Long story short about halfway through the initial development the higher ups at Squenix decided to switch the game to Unreal 4 meaning that Nomura and his team has to scrap pretty much everything and start from square one.

And no one on the dev team had ever worked with Unreal 4 before and they had to learn how to handle the engine while still continuing development in KH3. I know it’s funny to joke about how Nomura is taking so long but the man clearly cares about this game and is working his ass off to make it.

I feel bad for the guy and his team. I can’t believe they were even able to release trailers and the game looking fine the way it is. They must have had no sleep for months to pull that off.
