Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy. (Politics General)

I’m not giving up.
So I’ve been hearing that the GOP is focusing on the SAVE Act for this coming week:
I wonder what nonsense Alt-Tubers would use to justify this.

I’ve heard about this too, but it’s completely unsure for her.
What really fucking bothers me is that the polls want her again to be the Democratic nominee for 2028.
I think should really think twice and not step into the 2028 Presidential election if she doesn’t run in the California Gubernatorial race in 2026. I hate to agree with the Republicans on this one, but there was a reason why they pulled back on Nikki Haley. Americans just don’t want a woman to be president.

This far from the race people are just going to pick names they heard of, and the person that ran for president is number 1 on the heard of charts. I wouldn’t put much stock in polls yet.

You’re also way to quick to give up on women. 2024 was a scuffed campaign year and shouldn’t be used as a basis to become a political sexist.

I honestly hope she does not run for the White House in 2028. I think there is a good chance she is going to lose again. I want her to be the winner, but she will not do it. The chances of J.D. Vance winning over her are pretty high.
Doubt it. Republicans put all their eggs into Trump, so anyone else will have a hard time winning against anyone on the left. Without Trump’s charisma, the race would not have been close as it was and Harris would have won. And lets not forget that “no one wanted a black president” before Obama won.

Kamala Harris actually did pretty well. What happened instead is Trump did better than her.

Not really. She was raking in funding while Trump was doing rallies at red states to fuel his ego. His victory says much more about the USA population than the candidates.

I feel like whatever issues people had with Kamala’s policies/views would always get overshadowed by the simple fact that she’s Black and she’s a woman.
To deny that plain, simple racism/sexisim was a main factor against her is naive.
BlitztheDragon
Exactly, as was the point in that video I linked a few pages back. A lot of evidence that white voters in particular turned out to vote against her. And yes, that explains the shift in the Latino vote too, since a growing number consider themselves white. And those who do disproportionately are trending Republican.
Got an anecdote to illustrate the point. My Dad’s friend/former coworker was telling us about how a 40+ year friend of hers voted for Trump this year. She said to her friend that anyone who chose to give Trump another term is racist to some degree. The Trump-voting friend took great offense to that and expressed how hurt she was, then immediately followed up with “So you want me to vote for the white n––r, then?” referring to Harris.
Trump’s supporters might not consider themselves racist and sexist, but that’s because to them, a racist and sexist attitude is normal. And they will do anything to preserve their understanding of normal.

She burned through $1 billion dollars and went into $20 million in debt. What in God’s name was her campaign doing? Spending on music stars and thinking that was going to torpedo him into the history books?
One section of the news article: “‘The campaign’s “Concert for the Vote” series featured major artists like Bon Jovi in Detroit, Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, Katy Perry in Pittsburgh, and Lady Gaga in Philadelphia, aimed at energizing voters ahead of the election. An eighth concert, held three days before the election on November 2, featured rapper 2 Chainz in Atlanta.’”
I’m telling you, this was a botched campaign where she assumed that these people were going to help her win the election. It didn’t even work.

No one wants to believe they’re in the wrong, and will do what they can to justify their actions to themselves to see themselves as in the right. It’s why self reflection is so important (and why way too many are too scared to do it).

Reminder:
Give ZERO sympathy to those in MAGA.
Don’t feel bad at laughing and mocking them whenever they realize that Muskrat and Rump lied to them.
Also double standards as usual:

Good point. If she couldn’t manage her own campaign without sinking deeper into debt, how can she manage the whole country without sinking deeper into debt?

I mean there’s plenty of reasons to point to for the results of Trump’s 3 election bids. I really doubt any 1 thing can be pointed to as “the” reason for each result.
But yeah. We already ran the experiment 3 times, the scientific method has been fulfilled.
We ran 2 women, both who could be argued as among “the most qualified candidate(s) in history”, and they lost to who in in-arguably the least qualified candidate in history. Then we ran a man of respectable qualifications and he beat Trump in a stomp.
Hard to argue the most obvious interpretation there.
That’s basically “logic” (read:lie) that “race realists” use to disguise their bigotry. ‘I’m not racist, I’m just telling facts.’
You know in your frantic and sweaty desperation to find something, anything to explain your support for Trump (always post-hoc, because of course it is) you just make yourself look more ridiculous right?
‘Oh I’m so worried about the economy! That’s why I hate the guy who oversaw America through the greatest post-Covid recovery in the world and want the return of the guy who both oversaw and was responsible for the worst COVID-induced economic collapse in the world! Also I’m very excited over his economic proposals being guaranteed to collapse the economy again, this time without a pandemic to blame. 💕’
‘Oh I’m so worried about the age of the President! That’s why I hate the octogenarian in office now, but also why I hate the sexagenarian and want the other octogenarian! 💕’
‘Oh I’m so worried about how the Democrats lied about Biden’s age and competency. Lying is bad! That’s why I support Trump, a man who lies as often as he breathes. 💕’
And now?
‘Oh man it’s so weird how Harris and her campaign fumbled her campaign funds. I don’t trust her with money. So that’s why I support Trump, a guy who’s never been known to pay his bills, doesn’t currently suffer from what’s been called “perpetual” and “collosal” debt dating back decades, and doesn’t have manifold instances of embezzling not just his campaign funds but any kind of charity or fundraising apparatus. Also I think it simply poggers how he quadrupled the national deficit after Obama halved it, and added to the national debt in 4 years what it took Bush and Obama 8 to do.💕’
After a certain point it’s just easier to admit you have no good excuse for your vote.

Selling and wearing a shirt saying that you simp for a murderer is REALLY fucking weird (that goes to both Rittenhouse and Luigi btw)

Guy complaining about how weird people are acting about the murderer of the United Healthxare CEO, people point out he’s also been a creepy weirdo about Kyle Rittenhouse (guy who drove past state lines to gun down protesters)

Also, here’s something interesting: there IS actually a person named Adrian Dittmann, who is a Musk superfan. He is the son of a rich businessman from Germany who moved his family to Fiji to do a bunch of investments there. The family did a project with the Musk Foundation in 2021.

It’s almost amusing how much they refuse to learn. Repeating all the mistakes of the Clinton campaign, courting celebs and talk show endorsements instead of campaigning and going on the attack. A good majority of democrats are in the sticky trap again, blaming everyone but themselves for this result, when people on the left were warning them for MONTHS Trump stood a good chance of winning. They knew Biden had mental issues and chose to cover it up. If they had replaced him early on enough to hold a decent primary, who knows what might have happened. As it stands, it’s 2016 all over again. Everyone is to blame, third parties, non-voters, Russia. A good number of people are convinced that the election was fraudulent. In all honesty, the only election I would dispute would be 2000. Gore almost certainly won Florida and would have been President if all the votes were counted, not counting how many African Americans were illegally purged from the voting records. We need someone willing to push populist ideas and excite the voter base. Like Sanders or not, he pulled in massive crowds and fundraising. We need an actual left-wing choice and not these center-right versus far-right choices the system has been giving us. I think a key issue to many on the left was Palestine, and the party refused to address it. In fact, we were mocked and ridiculed, some of us beaten bloody and arrested for daring to protest. The DNC NEEDS to reevaluate its positions and how it connects to the people to have any future.
