I do noy watch sports. So, I didn’t know that apparently there was public indecency in front of children at the opening ceremony. And many people are saying this was done in the name of the Trans movement………..

Olympic ceremony in France that is all you didn’t really miss anything.

From what I can tell, there were drag queens present at the ceremony, and they did a scene reminiscent of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, and the religious right is all upset about it due to the drag queens and the ceremony “mocking Christianity.”

It was actually a reference to the Feast of Dionysus, per the official Olympics Twitter.

The MAGA Christians are losing their shit over this from the Olympic opening ceremony and are already going full Satanic Panic mode and claming that the Olympics are “Satanic woke brainwashing”
(And also becuase metal band Gojira had Marie Antoinette’s severed head providing the chorus for their song)

What makes this even more funny/pathetic is that:

!) “The Last Supper” has been referenced/memed/parodied countless times before but only NOW are they upset when it involves drag queens/black people doing it

Speaking of whom, Harris today made a surprise video appearance at Comic-Con at a Simpsons panel. Matt Groening introduced the prerecorded video as coming from a “super fan.” It was of the Vice President laughing and quoting the 1996 election segment of Treehouse of Horror VII: “We must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.”

The clip is from a project by some University of Chicago students made a few years ago to get an elected official to quote the Simpsons, but the crowd seemed to treat it as having been for the Con, as it netted massive cheers.

It’s more of a Greek thing.

Dionysus/Bacchus was the God of Wine, Pleasure and Festivity. He also dabbled in being the God of “Foreigness” and epiphany. While he wasn’t exactly a fancy lad, his worship typically involved merriment and freeing oneself from the restraints keeping them from happiness.

While none of this directly relates to crossdressing or trans, it’s honestly only a hop and a skip away from it and thus he’s been recognized as the patron god of hermaphrodites and transvestites.

If that’s hard to believe, then son do you think all those naked penis statues and artwork in ancient Greece were a coincidence? Greek mythos is gay AF.
