In my opinion, Republicans have like-minded individuals that share similar ideologies, while Democrats have a mix of conservatives, progressives, and people with various political backgrounds. Because of this, it’s hard for the Dems to come up with a solution to a problem that everyone can agree on since they have all have different opinions.

The thing is the majority of the population (not just democrats) are left leaning compared to the establishment. Trump got ahead in large part by being more left on certain issues than Hillary was. If you give people things like medicare for all or a 25 dollar minimum wage you will get their vote. If corporate media calls you a communist just shrug it off and throw it back at them.
Even for hardline republicans the temptation of no medical bills is hard to resist. Or overturning Citizen’s united.

Sometimes it is a little hopeless feeling though since corruption has gained such a foothold which means America will stagnate unless it’s completely purged and I don’t see that happening. Stagnation happens due to an entrenched elite that wants stagnation so that their power is preserved.

It depends on how much Kamala is willing to alienate her base. Republicans are far too loyal for any compromise. You can only win them over with a better offer rather than a weaker one. So if Kamala completely melts down her message in a futile attempt to be diet Trump he might still win.

I doubt she’ll go that far down.

Either way, whether he stays or goes, this has handed Democrats a major gift. They can parade his comments around everywhere with a “look what the GOP has to offer” message.

A “black nazi” that wants to fuck transgender women in the ass while simultaneously calling for their disenfranchisment publically and who thinks slavery was a good thing.

Even if he drops out today the damage is done.

She is on that trajectory. Even though it’s a losing one. You shouldn’t alienate your own base, you should mobilize them and grow them as they are very effective at spreading the word. The advisors or Kamala herself is seriously deluted thinking going diet Trump on the border will get them anything. Anyone who is xenophobic will go for Trump so she’ll only alienate people with it.

Iran hacked Trump’s campaign and tried to send the dirt to both the Biden campaign then Harris. Neither took the offer.

Oh no, every data point in that screed are mainstream GQP beliefs if not policy positions. Yes that includes being “black Nazis” while pegging transgenders.

The only difference with Robinson is that he was dumb enough to get caught saying it aloud.

They’ve been trying to get him to back out for awhile now apparently, but unlike Biden, he decided to keep going.

I don’t think they realize how politically toxic this is. I’m seeing first hand some pretty right leaning people I know saying they’re going to skip voting. They won’t vote for Harris, but they’re starting to refuse to vote for Trump.

It doesn’t help them that Trump and Vance are pointedly - and by their own admission - calling them “illegals” over “illegal immigrants” et al. As if saying that their mere existence is a crime.

See, things is the polls seem to point towards Harris gaining support and favorability, not losing it. Unless you can point to hard data that Harris being a bit harsher on the border is costing her support instead of it just being something you personally disagree with, then you can’t assume she doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Usual reminder that Polls are only predictions in the end.
