Hell I beat the game without evolving a thing.

I’d swap out umbreon for miltank but that’s just me.

Stat wise Umbreon is better at 525 while Miltank is at a 490. And you get Eevee earlier than Miltank too in Gen 2.

it’s the movepool that makes miltank shine. also that bs Whitney tactic works really well.

Umbreon’s movepool is eh. Whitney’s Rollout can miss. Hell I used a cheesy strat to beat Whitney’s Miltank when I did my noevorun of Gen II

Note I looked at both of their movesets in Gen 2. Miltank has terrible Special Attack and Umbreon has decent special attack. Miltank can learn Surf and the elemental Punches. While Umbreon gets Psychic.

I played the remake and in that game miltank get’s zen headbutt. in the meantime enjoy more comic.

In the remake it get’s more or less the same.

Pretty good attack and Speed but the defense and Special defense doesn’t help it.
Also Umbreon has more dark moves in the remake to make it use it’s Dark typing more also it can learn curse in both games and Umbreon can utilize that move better than Miltank.

Concierge shows Pokemon already works well woth claymation so Im looking forward to this.

Its interesting how the anime makes gym leaders or frontier brains likeable.

Like Whitney not crying over losing or Lucy being really nice and not some emo edgelord.

Honestly, I never had an issue with Whitney needing a cry before she gives you the badge. She’s far better than Clair who forces you to do additional tasks before she gives you the badge (and in Crystal/the remakes the head monk threatening to report her for not doing her job, indicating this is something she does often).

I was about to say the same thing until I noticed your comment. Yeah, Whitney at least came around, but Clair was a bitch.

Clair isn’t that hard but to get her badge is more of a pain than Whitney.
