I see.

Yeah I heard that the Online Aspect in recent Games has been gotten better, when you drop off(because of Internet Connection Issues, Loss etc.) you can just join back in when the next Minigame starts.

I f#cking died & laughed for quite a while when I found out back then that the Super Mario Team was in a NBA Street Game for the Gamecube XD

Yeah, in the GameCube days Nintendo collaborated a bit with EA. They even had “Mac” from Super Punch-Out in a boxing game, with the SNES game as an unlockable.

They don’t seem to collaborate much anymore, especially after during the WiiU era former president of EA Sports Bob Summerwhil infamously bashed Nintendo and Nintendo fans saying they were “bad revenue for third-parties,” and “Nintendo users only buy Mario and Zelda.”
Needless to say many gamers felt insulted at those remarks.

(Both are actually untrue even back then if you look at monthly best seller lists on Nintendo systems and portables. Even on the eShop many best sellers are third party games even beating some first party ones.)

I understand criticizing Nintendo, but honestly bashing a potential customer base is kinda bad business.
I may be partial to Nintendo, but I do like more than Mario and Zelda.

I heard about that(not in full Detail like you just did here), yeah that’s another Reason for why the Gamecube Era was definetly quite Enjoyable.

Thoughts on Mario & Luigi Brothership? I just beat the game recently, I enjoyed it overall, but damn does it have its flaws. I think this might end up being one of the more divisive Mario RPGs in the series.

So basically it’s like every other recent “Mario and Luigi RPG” or “Paper Mario” game? Not bad, but has some flaws, and tedious moments.

They’ve all been divisive, except “Thousand Year Door,” “Superstar Saga,” and “Bowser’s Inside Story.”

Yeah, it has a few tedious moments, and some dialogue scenes drag on.
Still, I don’t think I ever saw anyone who disliked said game.

Though, I guess every beloved game has some who disliked it.
I remember “Super Mario RPG” (probably my favorite of the RPG Mario games still) while pretty beloved too, had some RPG fans who said it was too easy or cutesy for an RPG. (I kinda disagree, in fact some bosses are very hard if you’re under leveled.)

Remember Miiverse? I kept running into a guy on it, who hated SMRPG just because of how popular it was, because people kept requesting it on WiiU Virtual Console, and Geno for Smash.
He would rant constantly how “bad” the graphics were, (yet he loved other old school games, arguing their graphics aged better then pre-rendered games) and say things like he hopes it never gets a rerelease.

Wonder what he thinks of the HD remake.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga was a damn lot of Fun & the Villains were pretty Entertaining no question! :)

Had some clever humor, plot twists, and had some good unexpected open world moments. Had some good mini games too.

Before Bowsette was a Thing, Cackletta taking over Bowser’s Body & becoming “Bowletta” was that Stuff XD

So yeah Superstar Saga always gives me Good Memories. :)

He took over for Charles Martinet. Martinet is now enjoying his retirement. Now Mario will be voiced by Kevin Afghani starting with Mario Wonder this isn’t news.

If the Mario movie gets a sequel, would there be a Mama Luigi reference? You know, because of the Yoshi egg at the end.

I really hope Illumination looks at the feedbacks they got from the first Mario movie & tries to improve em in the sequel. I also hope Miyamoto backs off a bit & gives the writers & directors a little more freedom in terms of story telling & character development, seeing as how anti-story Miyamoto is. It’s fine to be that way with video games, but this is a movie we’re talking about, where story telling takes the forefront.

It reminds me of John Carmack, one of the guys behind DOOM, rejecting the idea games should have stories.

I guess some older game devs still are stuck with the idea of games being basic.

I got that Luigi Charapaki Chocolate from the Asian store but it tasted so fukking good with milk overall 😋
