What cables are you using?

there is the d-sub cable that is essentially a teal cable that goes from the back of the monitor to my ASUS and I have HDMI cables…I just got this yesterday…

Do you have DVI cables?

I don’t think it has a dvi port on the back of my monitor…it is a 27 inch AOC monitor…I swear if that is the problem im going to be PISSED…

Okay, where are you plugging the d-sub cables into?

into the insert that says line out that has a teal color around the hole…

Weird that your monitor doesn’t have dvi… I’ve never used d-sub. Generally I’d connect the DVI to the GPU I/O.

should I return and replace the monitor with one that has a dvi?

If you can get a monitor for a similar price, I say, go for it. What are you using? A desktop?

yep an ASUS 2.7 gigahertz 1 terabyte 8 gig ram…

it is the only monitor I have right now….I have tried everything unplugged and replugged every thing but nothing seems to work…

the one on the back of my asus it is the only one on there…..

I don’t see any….also I have a photo of my computer but I cant upload it here to show you for some reason…I may just have to return and replace for a different monitor… or take the whole thing back so they can test what is wrong with it….

There should be one on the motherboard i/o and on the GPU i/o. Also, try imgur to upload. Then paste the link like this: !link!

The bottom i/o has an hdmi port. Try plugging into that.
