You remember the KO win over Beneil Dariush? I never even thought he’d win the way he did because Ben is also a dangereous contender for Islam but dayum, he didn’t stood a chance against Olives. Yeah, again, this is the hungry, motivated Do Bronx who wants his belt he never lost to anyone.

If I hadn’t seen how competent Makhachev was on the feet against the Featherweight King I woulda given Charles the advantage in striking, seeing how he pieced Beneil up…but I still can’t.

Beneil got caught by kicks he didn’t see coming and got followed up by a combo that dropped him.
Beniel is a good striker but he different from the dagestani.

Islam’s striking is clean and even after the bout with Volk he still manages a 60+% of striking defense and 1.27 strikes absorbed per minute.

Islam’s a defensive counter puncher, barely ever caught lacking (until Volk who dropped him multiple times) but Idk if Charles got the ability to drop Makhachev, but the reverse was already proven true.

I’m legit worried for Do Bronx cause Islam’s striking is proven now, and his stats in striking is in general better than Oliveira’s.

way I see it, Do Bronx is still at a clear disadvantage and I hope his hunger is strong enough to overcome Makhachev.

Imagine if Khamzat and Costa both missed weights by a lot.

Costa and Khamzat must aim for a finish. Costa because otherwise he will get robbed. Khamzat because winning by decision in hometown means he’s gonna get the fraud accusations.

Marquez was the Manny Pacquiao of Mexico. But he is one of the greatest counterpuncher ever in boxing.
