From their only LP, I Am Icarus. It shocks me the little to almost null success this band had in their career. At least I got all their releases, in case their music becomes lost media someday.

From the legendary British Hard rock/Heavy metal/Just-good-old-Rock-and-Roll band’s 2003 (recorded in 2000) live album “25 & Live: Live at the Brixton Academy*”. This was disc 2 of a 2-disc CD edition of the album that I bought (I posted my picks from disc 1 on the previous page). It was a fucking ace performance, full to bursting with the frantic power in their sound that they were known for!
Though they did disband after Lemmy’s death, long live the sound of the mighty band! And to quote the late Lemmy: Rock and Roll don’t mean a thing if it don’t make you strut!

From the 1992 live album by the Australian Hard rock/Alternative rock band, entitled “Scream In Blue”. This album by the famously environmentally conscious band from Sydney was recorded over a span of nine years, from 1982 to 1992.

*Though most of the songs were recorded at venues throughout Australia, this one was recorded at a 1992 event protesting against the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill
**The one track on the album that actually wasn’t recorded live, but recorded acoustic style at Albert Studios in Sydney

Yeah, understandable that their politics aren’t for everyone, though. First of all their subject matter tends to be very Australia-centric, leading to them arguably not being super popular worldwide, and second their working class lyrics could also probably be seen as a bit preachy and confrontational in a way. Still, they really do rock, and Peter Garrett sounds a bit like a bald version of Mick Jagger! :D
