From the sixth album by the British (Various members were from England and Scotland) Progressive rock/Progressive pop band, “Eye In The Sky” (1982).
A band led by the titular producer/audio engineer/musician known for working extensively with bands like The Beatles and Pink Floyd, with a revolving door of various recurring/guest lead vocalists, this was their last album to go platinum. Sirius/Eye In The Sky is the band’s best-known song, with the Sirius portion in particular appearing in numerous sportscasts and movies.

Fun fact: The lead singer/frontman of this band was a young lad named William Michael Albert Broad, AKA Billy Idol, who soon became world famous as a solo artist. The band’s bassist, Tony James, later joined Idol as a backing musician for his first few albums, and then later founded the pioneering Hi-NRG group Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

*Their biggest hit, which they came to resent for years (The song even inspired a later one entitled “My Iron Lung”).
I do think it’s a good song, hence its inclusion in my album picks, though it can understandably be thought of as “overrated” at least.
I am surprised it took me so many years to hear this album, and now I’m glad I finally did!
