man, she’s had the glow up. she’s been around since like first few issues.

Would it be strange if I liked Sonic for the character designs more than any other aspect?
Of curse, many of games and tv shows are fun.

They’re very likeable designs. There’s something charmingly simplistic and cartoony about it. Along with being colorful and animal like while still bringing in a human element (good anthro designs need to feel both human and animal, and mesh that together). Plus the big eyes, heads, and hands are something that humans find intrinsically cute.

Particularly the comic designs. They’re very pleasing.

I like that simplicity, to some extent it is easy to identify the species of each character, even within their own groups they stand out.

Bonus points they use lots of different animals, which is refreshing from the usual trifecta of “Fox, Wolf, Cat” you see in a lot of anthro media outside of the internet.

I’m still not 100% sure what the fuck a Tenrec is, but I’m all here for them.

Another point that I also like is the different styles they have had over the years, from the simplest to the most complex.

The only thing I need to know about Tenrecs is that they are cute.

Disappointingly they do not shoot lightning.

Jury is still out on if the they suffer from severe emotional trauma.

Finished My Hero Academia Season 4.

I definitely have some qualms about how certain elements were handled (the slideshow-esque presentation of Lemillion’s shining moment being the biggest offender), and the whole “reminding the audience of who the characters are” shtick got old after literally two episodes, but this was still a fantastic season overall.

This season also hit harder on an emotional level. Nighteye’s death especially had me in tears. I already knew it would happen ahead of time, but I still bawled my eyes out when it happened. It REALLY is that good.

It’s animated by the same person who drew it up for Weird Al’s new comic book (which I recently purchased)

It’s great to see classics get renewed, and this is one of his best.
