I understand you so well, my friend… Ironically, I’ve touched both sides of the coin: by profession, I’m studying to be an AI specialist at my university, but I’m also an artist. I don’t think AI will replace artists; rather, I’m concerned about what artists themselves will become. For example, traditional CG drawing might disappear and turn into ‘AI drawing.’ This is when you draw a rough sketch, and a neural network renders it in real-time instead of you (by the way, this has already been implemented in Krita through a plugin). I don’t really want artists to become something like that in the future… And I don’t like the idea that, after some time, the works of ordinary artists will be confused with AI generations, including mine. It’s very painful when you spend 20 hours on a drawing, and then someone asks in the comments which neural network you used…
