By coincidence, the PS3 case also happened in San Francisco.

No, the shooter just fled. The victim was taken to the hospital by someone else, but died there.

I heard that there was a Black Friday incident where a woman pepper sprayed the crowd in an effort to get an xBox 360.  
And yet, a bunch of Americans say we border shopping Canadians are uncouth. Speak for themselves.

…Absurd incidences like that are almost non-existent here in Canada, even during crowded peak shopping periods such as Boxing Day(now Boxing Week). Up here, we line-up.

A couple of people at the mall in my neighborhood ended up having their legs broken for a couple of days. Needless to say, my brother and I don’t head to the mall on black friday. Only because insane situations like this one happens. South park made it clear that people act like complete zombies when it comes to black friday.
 
That walmart story is true. A similar story(although it didn’t end up in violent matters) at walmart that people were on strike during Thanksgiving before black friday.

Perhaps the reason why it doesn’t happen in Canada much is because we don’t get any great deals on items even worth caring about.

The dark side of consumerism. It’s brought us a lot of boons, such as abundance of refined and trade goods, easier access to necessities, and increasing service oriented jobs, but it’s also brought madness like this.
