Favorite Harvest Moon game

I absolutely adore the Harvest Moon series. It’s impacted my life in a wonderful way and the games are so fun and relaxing to play.
 
So, to anyone that enjoys this great series I’m curious as to know what your favorite title or spinoff in the series is.
 
Mine personally is Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town. It’s so awesome!

I only played the GBA one and the N64 one, the 64 one was pretty fun.

Though, it does look like another one which was ported onto the PS1.

It’s a port/update of the PS1 one so far as I know. They’re pretty similiar but FOMT has more to it and is streamlined in all the right ways where it counts.
 
It also seems like time passes a bit too slowly in the PS1 version.
 
I’ll have to get a copy for the ps1 (I used to own it) and compare.

I think it was “Back to Nature”. I don’t really notice any dfference beyond the graphics. The music is the same, geography is similar, same characters. But I’m pretty sure each game has their unique feature.

Of the three I played (Magical Melody, Wonderful Life, and Tree of Tranquility), Magical Melody was my favorite. What I liked the best was the lack of shipping restrictions; I could drop whatever I want in the bin and be done with it.

The GBAdvance one is the only one I own, so I’ll have to go with that one. A friend of mine had “Harvest Moon 64,” and I had fun watching him play it. I hear sadly though, Natsume said HM64 will not get a “Virtual Console” release due to how complicated the game’s code is, and such.
 
The GameboyColor version of “Harvest Moon” is coming to the 3DS Eshop soon. Would anyone here recommend it?  
Nintendolife gave it a “mediocre” review/score. (Then again, they did some other games I liked alot.)

The only one I’ve ever played was the Gamecube one so…. that one I guess. Even thought I had no idea what the hell I was doing.

To bad the Budding Friendships game was abandoned. Looked like it was abandoned a long time ago. Hasbro had no hand in it’s demise, mind you. Most games in this fandom were just abandoned.

Has anyone gotten the slumber party event in that version here? I can’t seem to get it to work.

I’ve played through a fair amount of HM64, and love the tranquility of hanging out in that village. Of course my favorite part was getting into the relationships.  
My problem with Harvest Moon games though is that I always feel utterly pressed for time once I get the ball rolling; rushing through your crops to get the all watered, milking and shearing all of your animals, and before you know it, it’s late in the afternoon and I can hardly squeeze in the other activities. I guess that’s why I latched onto the Rune Factory games, since I don’t worry about running out of days.

Oh, and screw tornadoes. Stupid tornadoes.
 
I’m open to more Harvest Moon, if you any suggestions.

Curious, which girl in FoMT did each of you take on your playthrough? Care to share? Most people seem to choose Elli or Karen.

In the GBA game (the only HM game I own currently) I went for Potpourri. (The pink haired girl.) Originally, I was going to go for Karen, but decided not to sense like you said every other HM fan usually choses her.
 
A friend teased me for chosing Potpourri saying, he thinks she’s ugly, and such. lol I don’t understand why, she’s kinda adorable in her own way.

Potpourri is like the “Pinkie Pie” of this game. Cheerful, pink, impressed by just about anything you give her.
