Christian Von Koenigsegg’s Jesko Absolut broke their 0-400-0 record today. 27.83 seconds. Faster than Regera’s 28.82.

It also took 18.82 seconds for it to reach 400 km/h and 19.20 at 250 mph.

Bugatti doesn’t do top speed run anymore. It’s now a hyper GT car.

I rented a Muskovich (Tesla) for a drive yesterday and it was absolutely horrendous. It’s the most dangerous car I have ever driven.

Bugatti has no advantage at all. It’s too heavy. And Rimac? Its top speed is 412. I can’t imagine how long it took to reach 400 at the first place. It took the old Veyron 5km to reach 407 back in the days.

I hate the new Lamborghini Revuelto now.

It may not captivate the same fan impact and acclaim Aventador had but it was proven to be inferior to a 5 year old Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale in terms of speed and acceleration. (Go watch carwow’s drag race about it)

It’s been interesting to see the auto industry walking back from EV mania. I knew it would happen. EV proponents pushed too hard and too fast with no regard for reality. It seems that Toyota had the correct strategy after all.

I’m not ready to go full EV, nor will I be at any point in the conceivable future, but what I would like to see is more hybrids. Hybrid power is versatile and practical. If I had a plug in hybrid with about 25 miles of electric range, I could halve the amount I spend on gas.

The new Huracan successor looking like a let-down. It didn’t capture the same charisma Huracan had when it debuted. The V8 engine sure is promising, but I assured it’s gonna be slower than a Ferrari because they’re always heavy.

There has been several incidents in which a BYD (or its sub-brands) plug-in hyrid suddenly went into limp mode after a long drive on the motorway, and doing 30 on a 70.
Trouble is BYD’s PHEV only has a pathetic 1.5L 4-cyl with literally only 100hp. And it needs to power a 2-or-3-ton SUV once that small battery runs out, which will because PHEV batteries are always small. Hence the overheat.

A penny fell into the windshield defroster vent on my 2012 Scion xB and now I can’t engage the defroster.

in 2026 we will probably see a lot more hybrids in the industry, I still want to get a plug-in hybrid, but the cost for them is insane

And the worst part is that this happened while vacationing in Vegas. I’ll have to wait until I get home to even try taking it apart. Even worse since winter is coming.

The more I observe the more I think plug-in hybrid is a scam. It’s not exactly good as an ICE car and it’s not exactly good as an EV either. And the powertrain is too complicated and boring.

True they’re very heavy and it’s a compromise on a lot of things. slow and oversized but still saving on gas
