I’ve had weird things happen with cars…
We had an ‘88 Prelude. Yellow.
Dad sells it. Next thing we know, we see it everywhere! I saw it by the east liquor store on my way to bag me a Pinklestia figure, then dad saw it on the freeway being towed. You can’t tell me that automobiles don’t have a soul.

that’s very fancy for a 1990s car. I don’t even think it’s a popular thing right now. Only hyper-luxury cars have them now! makes me wonder how many refill packs were sold (or available now)
it was super rare, and even now it is still a rare thing to see in cars. I am shocked. it was also available in the Toyota Corolla, Levin, and Starlet
very interesting and unique.
@Badheart
yes! cars do have souls. that story kinda reminds me of the movie “A Dog’s Purpose” haha. I’ve had the same experience with some junker cars I had to get rid of and people still drive them around

First time I started the bike there it was on DanBooru, it was burgundy with different rims. That was my grandfather’s favorite color.

The doors on the Sera also inspired Gordon Murray to have butterfly doors on the McLaren F1.

This thing would NOT die easily:
It’s from an F150. Look again, there’s wood in the rusted remains of the frame!

That’s impressive. I almost think my mom’s minivan looks like that underneath. It just celebrated its 20th birthday this month…
Lots of weight reduction ;)

I like to put big honkin’ motors in my cars, supercharge them, then set a 2.20 final gear ratio. You can go from 1st to 3rd gear off the line. Each gear, every time your revs drop, you go faster.
Also try this. Let off the gas going around corners, downshift and hit the gas. You’ll launch straight through the turn.
I race on the hardest setting.

I hate how they are reducing the choices for consumers these days.
Seriously! Keep the manual!

statistically, I don’t think manuals are any less common in Europe. it is just rare in the USA because we are lazy

I heard BMW recently removed the manual from their M5s.
However, their m3s still seem to have them.
Sooner or later, the only cars that will still have manual are sports coupe and muscle cars. ven those I think will be neutered in the slightly distant future.
Didn’t Nissan just reveal that their next gen GT-R will be hybrid and automatic transmission only?
If true, that is an insult to their performance heritage!

that’s why it would be best to buy a Cummins manual right now, it might come in handy in the future

Same thing works on Franklin’s Buffalo, install a street transmission and skip the turbo. It’s great for running people over 😈 Oh and the carbon fiber is bulletproof!

Running people over takes a good transmission. Most important is those big wheels

I just climbed Mount freakin’ Chiliad in that thing!
Street transmission has those long gears you need.
This mountain lion was all WHAT? 😂
That baby lurches off jumps!
All carbon black with diamond rims and mint green underglow bumpin’ FlyLo FM ‘cause that’s how I roll.

This isn’t completely incorrect, but this doesn’t work for every type of corner. The correct technique is to brake, downshift, turn in to the apex, and start applying power.
@SeraphimDawn
Honda did this with the NSX. Porsche did it with the 918. McLaren did it with the P1. Ferrari did it with the LaFerrari. All F1 cars and LMP1 cars are hybrid. Saying the next GT-R being a hybrid is an “insult to their performance heritage” is asinine. Hybrids are the next step for performance.

I apply the same methods of sharpshooting to auto racing, they’re both deadly weapons with internal combustion so why treat them any different?
Ride 2 for example, with longer gears and gutting straight through turns they were sitting ducks!
I can agree though, those chicanes are a nightmare.

But it sounds like you’re prioritizing power over cornering, which is not the correct way to do it. You can have 1,000 HP, but it doesn’t matter if your car can’t corner effectively. You make up time in corners that on straights.

Yeah…I hate downshifting.
Irl it’s hard on the clutch.
That’s why I turn the differential deceleration way up.
Guess that’s just the way I race.
And I’ll keep racing until I get it right.
