Nope.

What’s the purpose behind the score system for images, aside from the “sort images by score” search option? There are a lot of images that get downvote bombed for subject matter rather than breaking any rules or for technical quality. Similarly, there are often hostile comments on these images. If it’s more general purpose, then what’s the problem with someone making a bot to auto-downvote every image with a certain tag they don’t like, compared to manually downvoting them?
 
Can you tell how many users are making use of the site’s API for things like customized image downloaders, or other ways of accessing the site’s content? Following that, how much of the userbase customizes their experiences like this?
 
Do you ever make it a habit to mess with the user’s personal filters to mess with them, or is that an uncommon thing?

Wait, so you just jumped straight from “not a member of the community” to “in a position of authority over the members of this community that I was never a part of”? Don’t you think that that would pose a problem with being able to connect with the members or see things from their perspective, especially regarding community culture?

In the summer of 2010 I was taking some art classes and some of Lauren Faust’s sketches and other artifacts from the show started getting passed around and it kind of looked like maybe Gainax was doing a crossover of Power Puff Girls with My Little Ponies, but with an Adult Swim/Toonami aesthetic - maybe something with Craig McCracken’s hands all over it, and it looked like we might be getting a new FLCL but with ponies.
 
Except the rumors were that they were doing it in Flash which we all knew was impossible.
 
Then the first episode came out and the truth turned out to be even weirder than what we’d imagined.
 

 

 
Very. I still can’t believe they’re doing this and stuff like EQG in Flash, and the access that Hasbro has given to the fandom and to third party licensing is like the Japanese doujinshi market has finally reached the American shores. Blows my mind. Golden freaking age. I hope more franchises go this route.

This would be a great ongoing thread because I’ve had many, many questions over the years, but naturally when asked at a random time I have none.

Did CMC_Scootaloo ever get moonbanned from here? I’m legit surprised that he hasn’t shown up in a certain forum thread regarding a certain recent fandom scandal…

I asked TSP to become a assistant last year, when the asisstant role was introduced, then worked hard until the others decided to promote me to moderator, nine months after i had become a assistant.

Same as this, tho for me the wait to mod from assistant was closer to three months.

DO you need to get banned a multiple amount of times before you get a Moonban (like a sort of “3 strikes and oyur out” type thing), or can you just get a Moonban right of the bat if you do something very stupid?

I heard someone can be instantly moonbanned if they spam the ’booru with random non-pony images.

I asked to be an assistant. Was told they were full. Waited 4 months. Asked again. Became one. Am currently doing random stuff and hoping for eventual Modship~

You keep breaking the small/medium rules over and over. Eventually you’ll just be tossed. Number of bans before that depends on the individual situation.
