To be fair I haven’t really drawn anything for months due to real life and a lack of enthusiasm. (Partly due to the influx of AI art that makes me think ‘what’s the point?’).
An AI program could whip up something in a completely different league to anything I can do in seconds.
It’s kinda disheartening.
I really felt that one. I’ve been trying to learn to draw pone since 2015 and didn’t get anywhere whatsoever

I understand the mods have a life outside of ponies but we’re almost halfway through the year now.
At this rate we’ll be preparing for the 2025 Collab before this one’s ready…..😅

I repair electric motors for a living, and currently got a big job in at work that only I have any experience with. Typically these can take around 80-100 hours to do. My boss has pretty much given me a week and a half to do it.

I’m glad i never did University.
I struggled massively through Sixth Form, (not sure how to equate that to US schooling) and had mental health issues for the entirety of secondary School as a whole. Was basically just bullied from ages 12-17.
Glad I never carried on with it.

From what I remember they’ve had more entries than before and even a deadline extension. At the very least they’ll have a narrower window for submission if only to reduce the number of entries they have to sort through.

This event, maybe at some point around could atleast skip a whole year if everyone and the host are suffering from severe burnout and idea rot because events like these takes up large sum of time to complete, it’s becoming an obstruction to everyone’s more important work.
How long we be doing this now btw? 8 years! That’s impressively long for a small site bru.
We all gotta ease up even on things we love, you know. If we feel like doing it again then lezz do it again.
