Just saying man, you approach aggressively, expect an aggressive response. A simple “that’s what I was saying” or “see back to my previous post” would have been sufficient.

Thing is, some news reports are super biased against Buzz Aldrin, and reported on it describing it as if Buzz had just gotten flustered because he couldn’t disprove what the guy was saying and just attacked him out of spite instead. Even more neutral articles like this very much neglect to mention that Sibrel was viciously harassing the guy, instead making it sound like Buzz was the aggressor:  

Sad to say, it’s reasonable for some people who haven’t seen the actual footage, and seen exactly how out of line and aggressive Sibrel really was, to be under the impression Buzz just attacked the guy because he didn’t like the guy’s opinion :(

This is why I can only assume people hate shows like Mythbusters, Adam Ruins Everything, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. People don’t want to be educated anymore; they’d rather go through all of life believing that they’re incapable of being wrong.

The way some people get so apeshit sensitive and triggered and start howling over people denying the moon landings (which is not what I’m doing one bit FYI) invites people to join the denial train for entertainment sometimes if nothing else. Mark my words.
 
Like the holocaust, like 9/11, like fill in the heat inducing topic. When people imply that it was ok to punch the guy for his “stupid opinion” rather than the reality that he was badly harassing Aldrin it does not help.

I’ve been trying to see all along if that’s your reasoning or that his opinion is out of sync with yours. I’m pretty sure (in the USA at least) punching people for a different opinion no matter how stupid is called “assault”.

But how do you wanna deal with it? Should there be a punch out pogrom for all the people vocal about unpopular opinions? That’s one idea.

I would personally prefer to shut out uneducated people who think climate change is a hoax, the Earth is flat or the moon landing never happened.

There’s a pretty major difference between unpopular opinions and plain factually incorrect conspiracy theories… or lies for short.

No need to show me the video I’ve seen it. This is a matter of punching people over continued harassment and that’s about the core of it.
 
I figured out you can’t “shut out” any opinion no matter how unsound. If that was true religious fanatics would have ceased to be a problem decades ago. You have to live with it somehow.
