Look at how a writer on the Sex and the City fucked up the movies due to the other writers helping on the show to the point where the porn parody was batter than both movies.

On the other hand, even the original Japanese version of the anime depicted Goku as slightly more heroic than he was in the manga.
 
And it’s not that he’s NOT heroic, he’s just usually more focused on the thrill of the fight.

It honestly seems like to him, if any band strikes gold once, every single other album needs to be just as amazing or else it’s a supreme disappointment.
 
It seems sloppy to me to be unable to critique an album on its own individual merits, without delving into an extensive lecture about how great the band used to be first.
 
Music criticism is kinda dumb anyways. Just listen to it. It’s music.

I find it funny how different characters like Lex Luther, Batman and Deadpool are now than when their creator had them, like Luther no longer being just another mad scientist, Deadpool being more than a hard to kill villain of the week that was as snarky as everyone else in the comic, and Batman trying to avoid a body count rather than embracing one, to the point of hanging a mutated person after finding a cure for said mutation.

I have to disagree, since there is stuff to talk about with songs, like how there is with movies and books.

Even with the new restructuring of DC cosmology (not really) I think the Endless and by extension most of the Vertigo pantheon are still top dogs.

The whole “Timeless vs Product of its time” arguement is one of the most stupid thing I have ever seen

I admit, I often fall down that same hole of hating something and hating people who like it. I guess it’s because I’m also annoyed that the things I like aren’t that well-known or famous, so there’s so little of it compared to whatever mainstream media has.
 
In example, I don’t like isekai anime. I also don’t like harems and girls doing cute/lewd girl things. They annoy me so much and the things I do like are so little. I haven’t watched any anime for months. MONTHS!
