Ugh, I need to create more levels.

People making automatic levels in Mario Maker play songs are amazing

I thought of doing one myself, but I have to tinker with the note blocks and experiment with pretty much everything to get the hang of Auto-Mario Musicial

Those are fine but I prefer to play levels in where I actually do something.

Is there anyway to un-star levels? Because I give out stars to levels I can actually beat and I tapped a star on this level that’s already killed 30 of my Marios….

I can’t enjoy a level if it takes me hours to complete. I know some levels in video games are meant to do that but goddamn….some of these levels are just brutal.

Have you tried 100 Mario Challenge “Expert”? The first level pissed me off so much I ended up skipping it entirely. Lost over 20 times…

I was just playing it a few hours ago. My recent posts were related to Expert Mode and SWEET CELESTIA did I bite off more than I can chew!  
How the hell does this game know which levels are easy and which ones are impossible?

They probably have the levels organized in the Challenge Mode. I heard you don’t earn any amiibos if you did manage to beat Expert, such sucks… Kinda understandable since its ridiculously hard. Maybe you could earn Bragging Rights if nothing else.

And that’s just bullshit. A extremely difficult challenge should always present a tangible reward for all that time and effort.

All of your levels are pretty bad. Lakitu love really man. Kills Lakitu gets on his cloud and beats the level.
 
Look man I’m not ashamed about Lakitu but if you are gonna have him in a level. Make sure he is more on top of you. I hate to say it Genericness is your best stage.

I wish you could have said something different to describe my first level attempts aside from “pretty bad”. But you do have a point about Latiku. I never realized how broken cloud riding was until now. :p Can you give me some ideas about how to properly use him?

Look at my Kirby’s Cloud Jumping level.  
Sure it’s short. But you are using Lakitu’s Cloud to beat said level. and said level does have a death pit in case you take the wrong route.
 
Or you could do a scrolling level with him above you the whole time throwing Spinies. Or you could look at Projared’s P Switch Nightmare for inspiration. Lakitu throwing P Switches that you have to jump over to ignore or you die.

I really want to watch the videos in Super Mario Maker that you can open up from the key codes in the idea book but the videos buffer like hell. :(

Interesting. I’ve been meaning to try out all of the levels posted on this thread sometime now and I’ll definitely give that one a look.
 
And ProJared’s level sounds interesting. I find it amusing how some of the most popular course makers in the game are game reviewers and comedians of Youtube.

Okay, so I was thinking about this a lot and I have about 2 complaints about the game, the second complaint will be in a bit of detail.
 
First, there are no midway checkpoint. If this was implemented as a mechanic in the game then there will be less hassle to start all over again whenever you die halfway through a level, especially for those long adventurous levels.
 
The next; no Luigi. As much as I love Mario being able to play Luigi was always a plus and fanfavorite. However, I then realized that this game is about Mario, beacuse its celebrating his 30th anniversary. So its kinda understandable why he’s the only oplayable character in 4 different styles. Maybe one day if Nintendo adds more content Luigi will be playable with his high/scutter jumps and low traction physic.
