Stuff you remember or had from the 80s - 90s

Yahoo used to be a lot more simpler back in 2000.  

 
I remember seeing this screen everyday during 6th grade searching for information for my school projects.

And how it was parodied in Bruce Almighty: “Yah-WEEEEEEEEH%!”
 
I was more of an AOL person as a child. My mother did use Yahoo frequently back then, though.

AOL kept sending us CDs every month back in the day.  
My brother and I ended up using them as frisbees.

Oh, did I play…Didn’t bet with candy, though. I sucked at Poker as a child, even if I was using change for betting; could rarely understand it then.
 
Uno can be a destroyer of friendships much like Monopoly or Mario Kart/Party.

That Jekyll one frankly still resonates in my mind.

Finding old albums , for me it’s a mix as i had both Records and CD’S
 
And to see how it changing now a days where you don’t have to carry Cassette Tapes or Even CD’S for a CD player
 
You can listen to music quickly on your phone or IPod (If you have the newer versions)
 
And it’s crazy to see that CD’S are some how dying Like it was just like yesterday i brought my first one

How did we carry our music back in the old days?
 
I believe most people just carried one or two cassette tapes with their walkmen.  
My mom used to collect those tapes in her youth. She still has some collecting dust in her shelf.

Well, there were those CD carrying cases for the CD players. Either that or people made their own CD rips where it was all the songs they liked on one CD. As for walkmans…well, either they schlepped around a bunch of cassettes or I guess they made their own recordings of their favorite songs onto one cassette, though it probably wasn’t common. I don’t know as I didn’t see that many people use walkmans much back in the day.

Don’t they still sell those? Anyway, I used to love bringing Uno cards with me to Macedonia to play with my relatives there. We had lots of fun playing those games and I would always leave the cards with them so they could continue playing with them amongst themselves; I could always get another deck here in the States.

When I had my Walkman when I was younger I used to put like 3-5 CDs in my backpack and would take them out when I wanted to listen to them. I had a Walkman back when they were dying out. Sadly every Walkman I had ended up breaking and I havent seen any in the stores since the 2000s and even then they were still rare to find.

Honestly for Cassettes i just keep like 6 of them in small bag
 
And for CD’S there were cases usually most held 5 or maybe 6-7

Yep indeed , even for me being a Manager at a Tesco (It’s like a Target here in the UK)
 
CD Player’s according to my boss are totally outdated and are a waste of money but to me not really as Last month alone i had 10 people come in the store and ask if had CD Player’s / Walkman’s

Like all the Freddi Fish games || and how i was the only kid and girl that knew Freddi was female in my group of friends||
 
Spy Fox , Putt-Putt (that weird purple car) , Pajama Sam , and the Backyard Sports series (And i mean all of them well until 2005)
