Criticisms are tolerated here? You say one bad word about something and I often see people be attacked for it, or be yelled at to use filters to block it out. Often negative comments are deleted, and many artists don’t post here because they don’t want their art to be downvoted. I wish this site and mods let us argue just a little bit more in the comments :P

Well, criticisms here are tolerated by the administration here. However, like I said, this site ain’t a hugbox. People share their HONEST opinions about things. Opinions shouldn’t always be taken seriously as most are subjective. Constructive criticisms may help artists improve.
 
Those deleted comments are usually blind incoherent vitriol, name calling, and image rating violations which violate rule #0

Stuff like “Why did you draw <x>?” or “I don’t get why people enjoy <random fetish>” or “You really should stick to drawing <y>” are not legit criticisms, they’re just people complaining that they do not like the subject matter of a particular image, and that’s typically where people start complaining about filters and such.
 
Actual, legit criticisms like “I don’t like this as much as your other images because <x> seems off, perhaps next time you could improve that by doing <y> instead, and look at >>###### and >>###### as examples” are almost never reacted negatively upon, and usually a lot more appriciated by artists.
 
Again, usually. I’ve seen people react negatively to suggestions on how to improve, and seen people react positively to “I hate this! Go back to drawing that old thing that you did!”. Everyone’s different though.

Also, I should point out - comments that are just complaints about the subject matter (“I hate futa”, “I hate anthro”, etc) usually aren’t deleted for that on their own. The person is just told “filter it if you don’t like it”.
 
If such a comment is deleted, chances are that the commenter started hurling insults or did something more than just say they didn’t like it (“You’re drawing futa now? You suck! I’m unfollowing you!”)

Guys (SeraphimDawn specifically…), can we not have near everything devolve into accusations and rants about SJWs? It gets tiresome, especially when it starts off as “I heard…”

Yup! I’ve had DA artists block me because I liked their old art more xD Seriously, see it too often that people get attacked for having a negative opinion on things, I can’t say I am innocent to this either, think we all could learn to respect everyone’s opinions, no matter what it is. Seen to much of people hiding how they truly feel just to fit in.

on a recent image, I had just posted “lots of weird things getting uploaded to Derpi recently” I then woke up to two replies yelling at me to put filters on to avoid seeing weird things, I didn’t even say if I liked it or not, they still yelled at me :P
 
I know it’s a case by case basis, since literately every single artist reacts differently, but I do know many that will only post all their artwork on other sites, entirely because of the downvote button existing, let alone helpful comments on what they could do better. (Even know a DA artist that blocks every single person that says even a slightly negative comment, haha xD)
 
but oh well, I’m just still so glad for all the artwork that we still get for free to be honest, with so many now using patroen.

Considering how much certain users like to bring them up almost everytime something bad happens, even if it has nothing to do with sjws, I think they must have one.
 
But lets not go any further, I don’t want this to become another generic mindless bitchfest about sjws.

He’s never been much active, actually. He might seem to be gone for months, it already happened.  
His drawings are also very detailed, so they take long to complete. He may surprise us with another stunning image at any time.
