Cinema Sins lost me for good when they played the Ballad of Jayne when Adam Baldwin walked on in Independence Day - and then ticked up a sin.

I don’t deal with the MLP youtube side of things (mostly because Germany = blocked) enough to know which review shows are serious and which are mockery. I have seen some horrifically cringeworthy serious 15 minute reviews of episodes, which I guess gives me a bias to assume “yes, people are that dumb, for real”.

The point was that lying about Rainbow Dash didn’t made much sense. Because they should be famous by now, they saved Equetria at least two times at that point. (->Stained Glass Window, -> big celebration in Canterlot.)  
So there was no point about the lie in the first place.
 
I bet Sweet and Elite would have worked out just fine without the lies about their friends. Since it is about becoming popular, it would have made sense to make it about a lesson about exploiting their owned fame, they actually earned. But they shouldn’t exploit it, because it would be against their nature as Elements of Harmony. The dual nature of Rarities character between greed/selfishness and generosity would have been ideal.

Especially when they counted Rarity lying as sins, when her lying was a part of the story as she was trying to keep everyone placated in a dumb way.

Yeah i noticed that one too, when i watched the cinemare sins episode. but the whole point about those videos are to nitpick. so who cares? They are kinda similar. But Twilight’s dress is unfinished after all.

I don’t think they were meant to be taken seriously. If it’s an obvious nitpick or not even a complaint, I think the video expects you to discern that… but that’s just me.

They are entirely different dresses. Rarity’s dress is sleeveless, open to the chest, held with a brooch, ruffled at the skirt, and draped barding-style along the full body. Twilight’s has a full underbelly and sheath hind-skirt, a chest enclosure, sleeves, and a big-ass ribbon. The colors are similar, though Twilight’s trim is a few shades lighter–but it’s not the color that makes a dress, it’s the pattern.

She used a dress she had already designed as a starting point for Twilight’s dress, then got distracted before she could turn it into something new and different.
 
If this and the other uploads are fair samples of the “cinemare sins” series, I don’t think I’ll bother checking them out during the hiatus.

No they’re not, you blind blat. One is a cloak, the other is a dress. They’re not even the same god damn colour.

Never been a fan of either.At times they can have legit complaints and criticisms,but have their videos are basically nit picking minor to insignificant details for comedy.
