Or, she knew he was faking, as it was totally obvious. She made the offer, he put her aside, she protested, he gave her a balloon. At that point perhaps Pinkie realized that Discord simply wasn’t going to take her offer and there was no point to pushing it, so she let herself be distracted by the balloon.
I do regularly hang out with people who get distracted by balloons. Like my sister, who has ADHD. The people I dont hang out with are people who ‘test’ friendships
And it’s a little unfair to pinks to say she ‘failed’ his friendship test, he was clearly looking for an excuse to get rid of her so he could go bug twilight. Plus I’d hardly call getting distracted by a shiny object as ‘taking priority’.
Would you hang out with someone who is easily distracted by a baloon? She failed his friendship test by having a baloon as her priority.
