If it’s everywhere in your eyes, then perhaps either there’s something to the story that sells it for you in the back of your mind you haven’t recognized yet. Or, you could not stick it in the search bar and block it’s tags.
What significance is there in an event, happy or tragic, if there is no weight behind it?
There would be no “feels” for the character if the characters were as poorly put together as you seem to imagine them. A good character has traits that can be relatable to the reader, maybe it’s their goals, their moral compass, the fact they’re not perfect and can’t fix every waking challenge that’s presented to them like a Mary-Sue and stumble, like a real person would, like you and me. Now if that weren’t the case, and there was no challenge, then there would be no stakes, no stakes, no room for being relatable= no feels. Not to mention it’d be boring
“Hey! Another person died”
Sue Magic “Fixed! Moving on!”
In fact the closest thing to a Sue-Move the main character is given a chance to pull doesn’t just on the simple merit that there wasn’t enough time to perform it given the plan they already had in play, something that wouldn’t have happened to a Sue
Shorthand, that would be “My Immortal Romance” you just described.

>thinks FO:E is over the top in comparison
>Molestia = grimdark
And that’s where I stopped reading
Woops, spell your name wrong X(
Isn’t that what the whole theme of point on this when making a crossover? I mean this is FO:E, based on Fallout franchise where the whole world is in the bloody chapter where people greed, torture, slavery, and- well ya, know what Vexed said the whole point of it.
That ^
The whole point is to show how the ponies of the pre-war era abandoned or corrupted their morals and harmony with others in greed and damned themselves to the horrors of the Great War, and everyone after, to the Wasteland.
The whole over arcing plot of FO:E is LittlePip trying to bring that harmony and morals back, it’s literally established early on to be the only thing that can bring Equestria out of the mess it’s in and anywhere close to what it used to be.
And guess what? The message of FO:E is still about love, tolerance and forgiveness, made even more poignant by the grim setting.
She’s possibly snapped from anger at that!
Don’t like it, don’t read it?
Besides, isn’t the stark contrast of themes the whole point of the crossover?
There is a cartoon with magical ponies who try to learn things about love, tolerance and forgiveness.
Lets mix it up with a survival game that is about mass murder, slavery, drug abuse, revenge, torture and rape, it makes perfect sense!!1!1!!11
Lol okay thanks for the compliment
Still, excellent second take on a piece
