This was one of the pictures of Luna that made me fall in love with her.  
Totally adorable, and what an incredible detail on her expressions.

You can write entire stories around these sequences, which is pretty impressive for a simple six panel fill in the blank. Speaking of which, that which goes in the blank is nice, detailed art that is nice to look at. Good job.

If only not to contradict your headcanon, you can just say that Luna has already known “You” for a while after she came back.

Well that’s very moe, but I can’t really enjoy the picture because I don’t believe it. (Stupid brain!) I mean, broken princess that has been alienated by her subjects and banished by her only sister all while looking for love would be probably a bit more cautious opening her heart thereafter? Not than she doesn’t long for company, but she should have some negative associations with the whole bonding thing. Logically speaking (and by logically I mean my headcanon) she’d be some sort of kuudere. Not that you could fit that all in 6 panels, but I just can’t look past that! Which is very unfortunate for me :\
