Sorry for my not making an account but i don’t really derpibooru, just wanted to clear up one thing
 
In the camel example, the straw itself is insignificant, and of course no back would ever break under it’s weight, but when it’s added to an already unbearable pile of straws that were already there, it might just be enough to push the combined weight over the edge - see the pattern? =)  
Unless you assume him to be lying (which you didn’t say you were), that means the parody post is far from the only reason, that was just the point where he couldn’t take it anymore, couldn’t keep hiding it and surpressing his feelings
 
(i actually have a version of the camel’s story from my childhood but this post is already way too long for my tastes, so i’ll tell you later if you want)
 
I’m not trying to say any of this is justified, honestly i have no idea and it doesn’t feel like it.., but i just wanted to point the camel thing out because i wasn’t sure if you knew.., it wasn’t really addressed in your post.
