Look, I agree it could use some work, but that’s kind of a harsh thing to say, especially given that artists will almost always get better if they’re willing to push themselves. My ponies looked pretty goddamn deformed before I actually took the time to study them, now they’re a lot better, although not perfect. If he’s not improving, it might be because he needs an actual critique, as in, actually suggesting specific things he could improve. Such as the forehead on Twilight being too long, her eyes being too close together and unfocused, her hindlegs giving the impression that her foreleg, which is positioned too far to the right, is huge, her neck being too big, ect. I’m sure he’d appreciate tips like that from an experienced artist like you.

So, does he HAVE TO release a comic every week? Well, then it’s even worse he rushed it this way.

Hyper-critical? Lol. I’m just judging the art in the comic, and it’s objectively bad. For someone who’s been drawing ponies for years, it’s unforgivable to draw such deformed characters. He has no idea about foreshortening, yet he tries to draw it. And while his efforts are worth a praise, the results aren’t getting any better, which clearly indicates he has no idea what he is doing, and he assumes the way he draws it is “good”. You really need to ignore the quality of art in order not to see how deformed those ponies in his comic (this and other comics) are.

How can someone look at Twilight in Panel 3 and not think “She’s so deformed it hurts to look at her!” Good gravy, Toxic-Mario should learn how to draw ponies, so they look like normal ponies, and not like ponies born in Chernobyl…
